Disadvantages
This is what customers from around the world say:
Have checked this as looking for a lightweight pack for multi-day hikes what carries the load well when needed (15kg). this pack has a brilliant and comfy back, load lifters, wide and comfy - although warm - straps... and many good details I LOVE. But there are 3 annoying details. 1, Water bottles are falling out from the too wide-open side pockets. Epic fail. This was already suspicious when I was watching a review video with bouncing water bottles on the side... but it is real unfortunately. 2, The waist strap was try to be innovative and it not only tightens the waistband but also pulls the outer side of the back - like a side stabilisation - too. This leads to a situation that the bag does not have any free play once you pulled tight the waistband. Think about a cinched side stabilisation on a Deuter pack. I can't describe this better but feels awful and restricted. 3, the side straps look super fancy, but they are useless. The red ones are too high , those which are within the side pockets are always in a bad place and are too low. Can't effectively secure mid-height items - and the red strap cannot be re-routed at all. 4, not really a bad thing but tricky... Rab says this is Spectra ripstop, but does not pronounce that only the ripstop crossing is Spectra, the rest 90% is standard nylon. Obvious for the second read but was misleading for the first. This pack is not for me, maybe next time Rab, but definitely will follow the company as this is a promising try. And it looks so good, btw.
