Air beds and inflatable mattresses for portable use

In terms of comfort and sleeping quality, air beds are great for camping and as a practical guest bed at home. For trekking and camping, many outdoor sports enthusiasts rely on lightweight sleeping mats made of foam or inflatable sleeping mats that can be folded up to be particularly compact. Air beds, on the other hand, are much thicker and thus provide even better sleeping comfort and very good insulation.

High-quality air beds from Campingaz or Outwell are often more comfortable than ordinary air mattresses. Thanks to their special chambers, these inflatable beds are extremely stable and promise a sleeping experience similar to that of a spring mattress or cold foam mattress. Nevertheless, they are very light and can easily be transported and stored in a compressed shape.

Inflatable mattress for one to two people

Air beds are usually offered as an air mattress for one person or an air mattress for two people. Depending on the type of airbed, the dimensions, thickness and maximum load capacity of the mattress can vary. With a matching air mattress, for example, the entire inner surface of your tent can be filled with a comfortable air bed. This means that such a mattress is suitable for campers, as a great bed for two people or as a family bed for young families.

Depending on the stability and size of the mattress, the weight can also vary. Larger and sturdier mattresses are heavier and require more storage space to be transported to a campsite. For use as a guest bed or an extra bed, on the other hand, weight and pack size are more of a secondary consideration. In any case, a suitable air pump is needed to blow up the air bed. To save weight and volume, a pump bag is particularly suitable. However, many airbeds are already equipped with a matching pump for their respective valves.

Inflatable bed as a practical guest bed

With a large air bed, any living room or study can be transformed into a cosy guest room in a matter of minutes. Whether friends are visiting, parents, children or grandchildren - with the right pump, the air bed is inflated and ready for use in no time at all.

In contrast to cheaper models, which are designed more for infrequent home use, air beds from outdoor and camping manufacturers, such as Outwell or Campingaz, impress with their high load capacity and very good workmanship. They are also excellent at withstanding continuous use during camping and athletic outdoor activities, while keeping you inspired with their great sleeping comfort, soft surface and practical valves.
