U locks: High theft protection for premium bikes

Situations well-known to all of us: relaxing over a drink at a bar after completing your bike tour. A quick ride on your bike to the supermarket. Leaving your bike at uni or in front of the office. Even when you are leaving your bike out of sight for just a few moments you need to lock it up. No matter what the place, a U lock provides reliable theft protection. The more expensive the bike, the more you should invest in a secure, hard to break bike lock.

U Locks

Solid, high-strength U locks with decent locking systems

U locks are thick and hardened with tough locking systems and have an excellent security level. When your bike is locked to a firm object such as a tree or a lamppost, the U lock cannot simply be cracked in passing. Nothing can be done without heavy equipment and your bike can't just be snatched.

Reliable protection which is also transportable

U-locks aren't exactly lightweight, but that's why they offer such a high level of theft protection! Premium models come with a holder for the frame of your bike. A good cycling backpack or cleverly designed cycling pants often have attachment options for your U lock, as well. So there are ways to transport your lock comfortably, allowing you to keep your bike secure at all times.

For cable locks, chain locks, folding locks and classical padlocks you should also keep in mind: if you buy at a cheap price, you pay twice. However, the second time your shopping list will include a new bike as well.
