Topo Athletic - Pursuit 2 - Trail running shoes tested

Sadly I had to return this beautiful and well constructed shoe because it caused me physical pain, literally. I have a fairly wide foot 27,7 cm long and 11.5 cm wide at the widest part with a relativelly high instep. These shoes were tight in the toebox area, but more importantly cut in my instep (upper foot) on multiple places. This is, of course, unacceptable and I returned them and exhanged for mountain racer 3, which are similar, but fit slightly more comfortably. Still not perfect, but better.

Please be aware when buying these shoes that the instep is cut quite low (Topo trade I guess) and you cannot really fix it with relaxing your laces. If you have "normal" feet, you'll be happy!
