I wish I'd have bought 2 pairs!

These things are Tractors in mud, Goats on rock, and slippers at camp.
20 miles with a Midweight backpack, over Fells, moors, Mountain technical trails, boulder fields, scree slopes....they took it all in their stride, easily.

Grip was next level, though didn't get chance to try them on long stretches of wet rock.
The Insole is very thin, but the deep treads and midsole, helped keep the comfort up. I'm overweight and was carrying a pack... I never once felt like I needed to take them off and rest my feet.

I'm already familiar with matrix uppers and these are great for letting the water out as fast as it gets in. Tat thin Insole, doesn't absorb water and there was no squelch. They dried very quickly.

The gaiter kept any debris out and the matrix didn't let dust or sediment in from crossing streams or constant wet mountain fells.

The boa, never caught on trail obsticles, and worked well for on the fly adjustments as my feet swelled or when I wanted to really tighten the fit for boggy ground.

They were a pleasure to use at camp, for getting in and out of my tent.
On road or paved sections, they were quiet and comfortable, but I wouldn't want to do much more than a mile at a time... equally to preserve the treads as much as keeping the comfort level going.

They're not ultralight, but when you consider that you don't need to add the weight of a gaiter, and they absorb so little water... that weight is off set.

My only concern is the longevity of the gaiter material and how many miles I will get if I continue to favour them on mountains.

For running, they should last longer.
I wish I could have bought another pair to use in rotation. These will soon become my favourite for many trails.
