Product description
The Steripen Classic 3 is a water purifier that uses UV light to disinfect drinking water. Simply place the UV lamp in your drinking vessel, press the activation button and stir steadily. The ultraviolet light destroys 99.9% of bacteria and germs. A small indicator light glows red or green to show whether the treatment has been successful.
The Classic 3 cannot filter out coarse particles or chemicals. It runs on batteries, and its UV lamp lasts for around 8,000 uses. Weighing just 178 g, the Steripen Classic 3 adds very little weight to your kit and is easy to pack in your rucksack.

What do you think about that?
This is what other customers say:
The website lists this as a kit with pre-filter & case. It is only the Steripen. I have asked Alpinetrek to replace with the kit as advertised & they are silent. Hmmm. This was to be a Christmas present & ordered in good time. Hmmm again....
