Lightweight ski helmet with good ventilation
The Altus from Smith is a lightweight ski helmet with a classic profile. It boasts a modern safety technology and has a sophisticated ventilation system. It’s suitable for all weather conditions and is ideal for backcountry adventures due to its low weight.
In-mold construction
The helmet is manufactured using the so-called in-mold process. This means that the outer shell and foam are welded together. This one-piece construction is characterised by a low weight and high stability. It’s perfect for touring!
Safety
The helmet is equipped with Koroyd and MIPS technology. The Koroyd technology with its special honeycomb structure absorbs impacts. The MIPS system minimises the impact of force on the skull and brain during rotational movements. This is due to the additional sliding layer that’s a few millimetres thick. As a result, both technologies reduce the risk of injury to the skull and brain in the event of a fall.
Adjustment options
Featuring the VaporFit system, you can comfortably change the fit. With the help of the adjustment wheel, an adjustment of 270° is possible. The ventilation system with 10 openings can also be regulated quickly and easily, even while riding.
Practical features
It also features an antimicrobial lining that reduces sweat-induced odours and removable ear pads.
