Product description
Truly a jack of all trades - the Opera 8.5 mm from Beal! The rope can be used in several ways: as a single, half and twin rope. This makes it suited to countless different mountain-based activities - even in extreme conditions. Whether for ice climbing, mountaineering or just sport climbing on the rocks, the Opera does it all! Golden Dry treatment ensures that it repels dirt and water, thus constantly retaining its performance features. This treatment also increases the lifespan of the rope. A further advantage of the Opera is its impressively low weight: only 48 grams per meter! This low weight and its excellent handling are both a result of Unicore technology. Here rope core and sheath are combined with one another, preventing any sheath slipping and making the rope extremely supple. The quality of the rope speaks for itself, whilst a sheath percentage of 37% makes it durable and long-lasting. The Opera 8.5 mm is perfect for alpine ventures of the highest level!

Caution: If you’re going to use the Opera as a single rope, a good level of experience and ability handling ropes with such a small diameter is strongly recommended! This makes it unsuitable for beginners! It is also essential that you check the compatibility of the rope with the belay device you’re using.
