Product description

Perfect for those who want to get used to smaller rope diameters - the Karma 9.8 by Beal! This single rope is made of bluesign certified nylon and thus complies with strict environmental regulations. Due to its diameter of 9.8 mm it's perfectly suitable for advanced users who already have a lot of experience and the necessary sensitivity when it comes to belaying and who need a rope that ensures good handling at the same time. This rope is comfortable to handle and very compact due to the Thermo Fluid process. The Beal Karma 9.8 is a very solid rope for indoor and sports climbers who are active in dry conditions exclusively!

Low life expectancy

I used this rope ~40 times within 5 months. Only for sports climbing (both in a gym and outside on a rock). The cover frays quickly and, additionally, there is a plastic thread coming out of the cover (see photo attached). Beal Customer Service commented it with: "You have to pull it and cut it near the sheath. No security problem on your rope". I'm quite disappointed by the quality of this rope and really shocked by the reaction of the manufacturer. I'll go for Tendon or Edelrid rope next time.
