18.07.2025Great socks
I bought these to walk the Camino. I walked 280km and didn't get any blisters. They also were lightweight, kept my feet cool and dried really quickly after washing. I've since wore them for over a year and are still going strong.

The original review contained compliments about the socks and a pointed comment about wasted packaging. You edited it. Why? Not robust enough as a brand to accept criticism and apologise on line? I won’t be buying this product again.

The purpose of this platform is to have the opportunity to provide a helpful review of products for other customers rather that offer a review of the company. Here also receives a very limited audience and once the item is sold out the review will no longer be visible on the site.
For a review such as yours it is best to use Trusted Shops for a wider reach and a permanent review:

Illogical and does not answer my previous question. The product came in a box and is therefore an intrinsic part of my customer experience. Perhaps a better response would be ‘thanks for your compliments on the socks, we’re so pleased you enjoyed the product. We’re sorry about the large packaging, as environmental concerns are paramount to our business. We’ll take the learning and do better next time.’ Then I’d have replied to you, thanked you and no doubt repeated my compliment on the socks.
Hi Amanda,
Thank you very much for your suggestion. We know the problem and are working on a solution - but it is not that simple.
This is why we would like to give you some insight into our logistics process below:
It is understandable that the packaging seems unnecessarily large at first glance.
Unfortunately, due to the volume of packages we ship daily, we are unable to use customized box sizes. For several years now, we have been sending our parcels in boxes with two standardized sizes.
Depending on the volume of the order, the height of the box is adjusted automatically. Your package was probably pretty flat, right? As a result, we ship significantly less "air" in well over 90% of all orders and thereby load the delivery trucks more efficiently. This way, more packages can be transported in each truck, and thus CO2 emissions per package are reduced.
Another advantage of boxes over envelopes is that we can move all parcels on an automated conveyor belt, which is the only way we can achieve our fast delivery times.
At the same time, we are aware that for a small proportion of our shipments, this is not yet an optimal solution in terms of sustainability. We are currently working on an improvement here, but - as already mentioned at the beginning - it is not that easy.
Of course, this all sounds a bit abstract - but to give you a chance to see our processes for yourself, we would like to invite you to take a virtual ‘tour behind the scenes’. In the video, you will not only see our entire packing process, but starting at minute 01:37 you will also be able to observe how the height adjustment of our boxes works. You can take a look at our logistics here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mP6L_b5HPZY
We hope this has given you an insight into why we chose these boxes.
Thank you. I appreciate the video. Just to be absolutely clear the box was not flat. It was 8cm deep which I’m sure you are aware of. And to add insult to injury you’ve just lectured me at great length which I’m sure you’re aware is unlikely to gain friends or influence people. I’m as exhausted as you must be by the fatuity of this thread when it could have been so easily settled. You won’t miss me as a customer as you clearly don’t value them in the first place. Many thanks for your continued replies.
