The liner also offers excellent breathability to prevent moisture from accumulating. Its upper is also tear-resistant and stabilising. As they dry quickly, these shoes are also a great choice for trekking tours! The higher collar increases stability when hillwalking and protects the ankle. The heels and toes also have durable reinforcements.
Intelligent sole construction and low weight
While the Vibram Megagrip outsole guarantees a secure grip, even in muddy terrain, the cushioning midsole provides the ideal walking comfort. The ESS Rockplate offers increased stability and steadiness when the shoe is only partially put on and protects against stony ground. I could not be,I’ve this loved the Altra boots and thought I would give the Topos a try. After a day of walking in the peaks the right boot failed. The material attached to the front started to come away and then tore. First time in my life that a pair of £170 boots failed after only having them for 3 days. A cheap pair would have lasted longer
