Used for a weeks hiking in the mountains of Andalusia, Spain, I found this hat indispensable! It is very packable, with a foldable brim construction, so really handy to whip out when needed.
The brim was a great shape for shade, and it did not flap around in the high winds at the top of the mountains. The head strap ensured a snug individualised fit, and the toggle chinstrap stopped it from sailing off into the valleys.
The fabric is cooling and quick dry, and the mesh vents on the crown both let out heat and sweat, and let in cooling breezes. The neck flap is very well cut and provides excellent protective coverage.
Someone has done a lot of testing and research to come up with this this great quality, well-designed hat. My favourite in forty years of globetrotting!
Nothing I didn't like about this hat, so 10/10 for me!

I found this product on another website and it said it was UV protected 50+ but it doesn't mention that this one is. Can you clarify please?
Hi Kirsty,
Sunday Afternoons claim this hat to be made with a material with UPF 50+. We now only add UPF information if the producer can provide certification to confirm this to be correct and of the standard expected but in this case we have not received that information.
