The EX500 from Shimano is a kind of "chameleon" among the cycling shoes in their range. This is because you can use these shoes with the SPD click pedal system to achieve a smoother pedalling action and improved power transfer. The SPD cleat can be placed in the midfoot area - with a little room for manoeuvre - for more comfortable pedalling. Plus, the fine tread of the outsole offers you excellent traction when walking, while the studs on the side help to protect the metal cleat somewhat. The light and airy, breathable upper ensures high levels of comfort and good moisture management.
Good cushioning with quick and secure fastening
In addition, the EVA midsole cushions your steps and pedalling so that any progress you make feels comfortable and cosy! You can quickly adjust the fit of the shoes to your needs using the speed lacing, while a hook-and-loop strap ensures that everything stays in place. Meanwhile, the use of recycled materials also takes the issue of sustainability into account.
