Product description
Precise performance climbing shoes
The Vapor S from Scarpa are performance-oriented climbing slip-ons that offer reliable performance, even on challenging climbs. These climbing shoes are powerful and flexible, giving you a good feel for small edges and footholds, as well as greater control over your footing. In addition, the very flat and angled toe design makes the Vapor S your ideal choice for climbing thin cracks, while their high edging stability offers increased climbing precision and, therefore, better safety.
Innovative slip-on design and great hooking performance
Although the Vapor S are slip-on shoes, they feature the so-called Nano Strap System, which encloses the ankle in order to provide a better hold and ensure that you are able to perform hooks safely. Last but not least, the performance of the climbing shoes is further enhanced by the Vibram XS GRIP 2 sole, which features excellent friction properties and improved edging stability.
The advantages at a glance:
- Performance-oriented climbing slip-on shoes
- Great sensitivity, lots of feeling for small edges and footholds
- Flat toe profile for crack climbing
- Nano Strap System offers a good hold for secure hooks
- Vibram XS GRIP 2

Honestly, I love the shoe and it fits perfectly. It's a great all-rounder, and I thought that the nano strap wouldn't add anything, but I think it's a game changer for slippers.
Usually I don't do reviews, but I think this one lacks information for users who want to buy it. I came for the Vapor Lace and Vapor V, which I both use on size 41,5 (street shoe 43/43,5 or 27,5 cm foot length) for red point/on-sight attempts.
For this module to have a similar experience, I went for a 42, and out of the box the heel tension on the Achilles tendon is about to turn out to be too much, hurting a little even. Notice that they give a little, and enough to be the slipper that I ever wanted. I never felt that heel tension on other Vapor models.
I hope it helps you guys decide which size you want :)
