Superb durability, even on pavement concrete;
Fantastic wraparound rand;
Superb grippiness even on wet rocks;
The ideal height (i.e. a proper 'mid' boot);

I have just ordered the Caribou/Rust Orange, having bought and practically lived in the Shark/Military.
For me, this mid approach shoe has taken over from Salomon's Quest 4 GTX, when they used to be great.
