Product description
Cool Shoe: the Scarpa Ascent Pro GTX!It is not easy to take this shoe to its limits. Above all it can do quite a lot. This hard to define shoe is, like the name suggests, a climbing shoe for steep, rocky Alpine terrains. It is however also perfectly suited to climbing on a via ferrata, mountain hikes, trekking with a backpack on uneven paths or even for light climbs while mountaineering. This is ensured by the shock absorbing Vibram Re-Active sole which has fantastic grip on rocks, as well as the crampon edge on the heel. That means stepping up and the toe-to-heel roll are a breeze; you could even take along some semi-automatic comfy snow boots, and use those over the watertight shoe to cross snow fields. The shoe has a definite mountain boot design, but can also used for climbing, as the asymmetrical lacing from the toes all the way up indicates.Head for the hills with the Scarpa Ascent Pro GTX! There is no task it can not overcome!
