The Women’s Active Skin 8 Set from Salomon is a vest that’s ideal for trail running. Not only is the soft vest super comfortable, but it’s also breathable, quick-drying and stretchy. In addition, the running vest has strategically-placed storage options.
Thanks to the two clever chest pockets and Salomon’s 500ml soft flasks, you’ll be able to hydrate yourself during your run and quench your thirst on the go. The running vest is also compatible with a 1.5-litre hydration system, so you'll have plenty of fluids with you when you're on the move.
For enhanced comfort whilst running, it has a soft material and mesh on the inside, and the SensiFit design provides a snug fit. I followed the official size guide and was sceptical but it fit perfectly.
The tubes on the water bottles are awkward to cut down so I didn't bother and just tuck them around.
Loads of storage, and easy, adjustable closure at the front.
I use it for all my runs, great for trail runs and long runs to hold water and everything else. Great for short runs to hold your phone and keys, much more comfortable than running belts.
Disadvantages: I think these are all "hydration vest issues" rather than this product but: It can be a bit difficult to get on/off if it's full. And it needs to be washed regularly especially in the summer. Officially it's handwash only but that's difficult to get the sweat out. So far mine has held up perfectly in a gentle 30 degree machine wash in a wash bag.
