I tried these shoes for the first time today. They felt like they might be tight when I first put them on, but they were comfortable. I'm glad I bought size 11.5 for my size 11 feet, because I think size 11 would not give enough room for my toes.
I wore them to walk along the River Itchen near Winchester. They were fine on gravel, mud, and tarmac. At one point, I put my shoes in a stream to wash off mud, which showed that they were waterproof.
