The Ortles Light Mid Powertex from Salewa are versatile mountaineering boots. Equipped with a Powertex membrane, they are both waterproof and breathable. They also feature an abrasion-resistant and durable upper. Thanks to the reinforcements on the toes and heels, your feet will be protected against scree.
Excellent fit
They feature a sock-like collar that’ll prevent stones and dirt from getting in and provide stability. Some other great features include the grippy Pomoca outsole that provides traction on alpine terrain and the climbing zone to help you on climbing passages. In addition, the boots are compatible with semi-automatic crampons. Lightweight, all-round boots: the Ortles Light Mid Powertex.

Hi Sara,
If I could put it another way, this boot is suitable for use with crampons and both strap-on and semi-automatic bindings can be used.
A semi-automatic binding will have the best fit.
