Product description
Replacing classic friction hitches: the Shunt ascender by Petzl acts as a safe alternative when abseiling. The device replaces the classic Prusik knots as a way of securing the descender. It can be operated considerably more easily and doesn't inadvertently disconnect from the rope. In contrast to friction hitches, the Shunt also doesn't damage the rope sheath. Usable with single ropes 10-11 mm and half ropes 8-11 mm - you can't configure abseiling any more safely.
