Product description

The popular Elios climbing helmet by Petzl has already become a classic. This hybrid helmet is highly versatile and impresses with excellent wearing comfort, clever details and its great design. If you are looking for a climbing helmet that doesn't make your head look like a mushroom, the Elios is the perfect piece of equipment for you! No matter if you prefer ice climbing, sports climbing, mountaineering or vie ferrate, this helmet is up for any challenge. The Elios stands out for its hybrid design. It consists of a robust outer shell and an inner shell made expanded polystyrene. The outer shell protects your head against shocks and stones and keeps the inner helmet from damages. In case of severe shocks and rocks breaking through the outer shell, the foam cushioning comes into play. Similar to a bicycle helmet, the foam deforms and thus absorbs the energy of the impact. You can adjust Petzl's Elios individually on the back as well as on the chinstrap. In winter, you can close the integrated ventilation holes and seal your head from snow and cold draft. Open them up in summer and let the air circulate through the helmet. Arco, Palatinate, Kandersteg or the Piz Bernina - no matter where you're heading, the Elios won't let you down!

Hi Kieron.

I hope I understood your question right. The Size 1 has a head circumference of 48 - 56 cm and Size 2 of 53 - 61 cm.

With which helmet do want to compare the Elios?

Regards, Daniel
