A real all-rounder! The Am'D Screw-Lock from Petzl is a versatile carabiner with a screw lock gate. The D-shape works great with other equipment, since the carabiner is easy to operate even when it's turned 180°. The keylock system serves to prevent any snagging on slings, bolts, etc.The Petzl Am'D is hot-forged and has been designed in such a way as to save material in areas exposed to less strain. The spine of the carabiner is particularly strong, since most of the weight is transferred there when loaded. Plus, the areas where the rope comes into contact with the carabiner have been reinforced with additional material as well. All this results in a good combination of low weight, excellent handling and a high level of safety. Regardless of whether you're ice climbing, sport climbing or mountaineering at high altitudes, the Am'D Screw-Lock is a great choice.
