Product description

A mountaineering backpack for all conditions

If you’re an alpinist who enjoys being out in all weather conditions, then you’ve got to equip yourself with the Peak 40 Dry from Ortovox! The mountaineering backpack is suitable for alpine terrain and for exciting multi-day tours. Although you’ll want to walk on sunny days, it’s still possible that it’s going to rain, which is why the mountaineering backpack has a hydrostatic head of 50,000 mm. This means that it’s absolutely waterproof, so your contents will remain dry.

A rain cover? That’s a thing of the past!

The Peak 40 Dry is waterproof, which means you won’t need to carry the extra weight of a rain cover and its great features won’t be hidden. In other words, a rain cover will hide all of your attachment options, which isn’t ideal. Some of these attachments include the helmet holder, two ice axe holders, a rope holder, a ski holder and a safety mount for your emergency gear. In addition, the Full Contact Light back system guarantees comfort. It provides a comfortable fit and great control even with heavier loads, while the hip belt will optimally distribute the weight. The Ortovox Peak 40 Dry won't ever let you down!

The highlights at a glance:

  • Ideal for mountaineering and multi-day tours
  • Great weather protection thanks to a hydrostatic head of 50,000 mm
  • Compatible with hydration systems, so you’ll remain hydrated
  • Features are accessible at any time
  • An emergency whistle and an emergency card are included
