Split after 4 weeks
Although these trainers are advertised as a wide fitting shoe, after 4 weeks of light use they split along the outer side liner joint with the reinforcing strip. It's as if the design had misplaced the reinforcement with the widest part of the foot. If they have sacrificed function for form then then that is a disappointment. However, AlpineTrek were brilliant and processed the warranty claim immediately. A full refund was issued. The product was defective but the customer service was exemplary.
