Product description
The Lofoten GORE-TEX Insulated Jacket by Norrøna is a ski jacket that is also ideal for freeriding. The jacket also features recycled PrimaLoft insulation, which is perfect for those who like to ski in the powder on cold days – but still prefer a little extra warmth. The torso and back area are especially well lined, whereas the sleeves and back have been kept thin. As well as excellent thermal insulation, the jacket also boasts outstanding weather protection with GORE-TEX Pro material. The jacket is also completely waterproof and windproof but doesn't compromise on breathability.
If you get too warm, you can regulate the temperature using the practical zips under the arms. The jacket also has a powder skirt, as you would expect from a ski jacket, so that cold moisture doesn't get inside the jacket. Further practical features include the asymmetrical cuffs, two front pockets, a chest pocket and an inner mesh pocket, which is convenient for storing either ski goggles or gloves. Functional and stylish for lots of fun in the snow – the Lofoten GORE-TEX Insulated Jacket!

Looking for very warm waterproof jacket. For winter walking hiking and bad weather. I would prefer to have a synthetic insulation to using down. Other jacket I’m considering is a Rab Resolution.

Hello Grahame, Considering the jacket is using PrimaLoft Silver Eco , there is no way this will be as warm as the Rab Resolution. It will however be warm and ideal for activity on very cold days and given the GTX outer shell it will be more weather resistant than the Resolution in my opinion.
