Reviews overview
This is what customers from around the world say:
I am a male and 170 cm / 58kg, the max height for this one is 168... It is snug, both in length and around me, but fits without unused excess material. You can't pull up your feet inside the bag, so If you do not like a snug bag, this is not the one for you - but I like it. The women version has more filling, the women regular 30 has 400g while the man regular 15 has 480g but that is much larger, so the warmth are comparable. I am sleeping cold but and this bag is good down to 0 celsius with open vents (I forgot to close...) and wearing only a t-shirt and socks - but that was the limit, I felt a little bit cold but still slept well, so bag warmth is definitely as advertised even with open vents... The bag does not suck water, I was walking the West Highland Way and it was perfectly dry the whole week - and it was constantly raining... The water repellent material on the two ends (feet and head) is a great idea and works very well - it was wet on some mornings as it was touching the tent/ground but did not soaked up any water! Also the shell material here is quite strong 20D-40D so definitely does not break like some UL 10D bags... The only downside is weight, this is light but definitely not ultra-light, packs small but not extremely small. I have weighed 880g on the woman/regular/30 without the storage pouch - I was using S2S eVent size M instead of the original bag. This can be compressed to 20cm diameter x 22cm, not more - what is 7 liters, so the 3.4 liters compressed volume stated by manufacturer is not true. I have doubts regarding the filling is true 800 cuin, maybe the feather/down ratio is bad as I have another down bag with similar size/performance/features and that compresses the same size and that is only 650 cuin with 90/10 feather/down... Still, I found this to be a good compromise between being UL and being useful/strong and I definitely recommend even for backpacking/UL trips as it delivers very well and I never had to waste time drying it in wet weather nor worrying about it.
