Hello Lee, these like most clothing from Mountain equipment will suit better a slim athletic build. Probably not ideal for you.

Very decent hiking trousers

Great cut, tight upper lights which feels good. Slightly looser below the knee with plenty of room for boots.

Would recommend wearing gaiters.
Crotch area seems to have frayed a bit after about 6 months use - fabric has balled up but no apparent damage to the trousers.

9/10. Recommend for those looking for a higher end trouser for hiking that is lightweight and feels good.

PS: leg pockets double up as air vents. Much appreciated when you're a sweater like myself!!
