Winter sleeping bag with a recycled down fill
The Classic Eco 1000 from Mountain Equipment is a down sleeping bag made entirely from recycled materials that is ideal for winter trekking tours. It is lightweight, easily compressible and designed for sub-zero temperatures. The body-hugging mummy shape effectively holds your body heat and prevents it from spreading into unused corners of the sleeping bag. Its comfort temperature is measured at -7 °C.
Efficiency meets comfort
The slightly wider and, therefore, more comfortable fit is characteristic of the sleeping bags in the Mountain Equipment Classic series. It offers you greater freedom of movement despite its narrow contour, which is primarily designed for more effective heat retention. In addition, the down insulation has a fill power of 700 cuin and is located in slanted box baffles. This construction reduces the weight of the sleeping bag while improving its thermal performance. Plus, the anatomically-cut hood consists of five baffles, which ensure that the down doesn’t slip and that your head always remains reliably insulated. Meanwhile, the foot section is made up of two baffles.
The special Earthrise-Shell is water repellent thanks to a PFC-free DWR coating. A draught collar also provides additional protection from the cold. This can easily be opened and closed using just one hand thanks to the combination of a magnetic and a mechanical closure. Moreover, the sleeping bag also includes a waterproof stuff sack as well as an extra bag for easy storage at home.
All in all, the Classic Eco 1000 is a resource-consciously produced down sleeping bag that balances a construction designed for maximum thermal insulation with comfort.
