Cushioning from trail running designs means increased comfort
A combination of PU footbed and FloatPro midsole is used for cushioning. This combo is also used in the trail running models from Merrell and offers you outstanding comfort, even if you are travelling a little faster, like when fastpacking. This is also where the Vibram TC5+ outsole shines. Thanks to its aggressive tread, it boasts a secure grip on a wide variety of surfaces, whether deep forest paths or exposed hiking trails. Last but not least, the design of the Moab Speed 2 Mid GTX is rounded off by reinforcements on the heel and toe. A really strong companion for all kinds of hiking!

These boots are comfortable, good Vibram grip, waterproof and look nice too, but I had bad durability issues. The upper started to separate from the midsole at the forefoot flex point after just 30km of walking on easiest trails, not even real hiking. I know I'm tall, big and heavy but I've never had a pair of boots last me just 30km.
Claimed warranty and got a full refund.
