Product description
Mammut developed the Men's Ridge High GTX Boot specifically for grip on the iron stemples used in via ferrata climbing, but this boot excels in just about any type of hardcore backpacking. The IronGrip sole with integrated Sonar technology, flexible ribs, and special lugs give supreme traction not only on iron bars but on a wide variety of terrain. A pre-shaped tongue offers comfortable and secure fit, and a GORE-TEX Comfort Footwear membrane helps to keep out the elements. The lightweight Ridge High GTX offers a direct, close proximity to the ground for ultimate feel while providing the supreme support of a high-cut boot. External TPU Motion Control offers reinforcement where you need it most for travelling on rugged backcountry terrain, while FeetMap climate regulation helps to keep your feet comfortable, even while you're hoofing it.

I purchaser these boots as a lightweight alternative to my other rather heavy walking boots. Just completed my first outing in these boots and I must say they're the lightest and most comfortable walking boots I have ever used. The first time out and 18km flew by with no discomfort at all, the boots still gave a high level of support to the ankle and grip on the sole is fantastic.
These are the first pair of Mammut boots I have had and the build quality looks most impressive.
Overall I would recommend these as a perfect pair of lightweight boots for the seasoned hiker
