I have winter boots and mountain boots, and moved to the Pentland Hills in Scotland - these are just a great place to walk, and my heavier boots seemed to be overkill and my lightweight shoes not quite enough.
I have worn these boots through the summer and autumn into the winter and for hot days and wet days and ice and snow days, they just work for the pleasure of getting out into the fresh air, or as a stable platform for photography. I have also worn them doing abseiling and they were just brilliant at giving me the right confidence down the rock faces (I am not a climber!)
Up some munros in the winter they are too light, and when it gets seriously boggy, or deep snow, they are not quite high enough or warm enough, but for general walking and hiking they are my go to boot now.
