Product description
Lightweight walking boots with GORE-TEX and a Vibram sole
The Ducan High GTX walking boots from Mammut are versatile for hiking and yet, are just as suitable for short approaches as they are for multi-day tours. These boots reach above the ankles and are made from lightweight mesh fabric with an elasticated tongue construction and appropriate reinforcements.
Durable walking boots with functional details
Mammut has equipped the Ducan High GTX walking boots with Flextron Technology and a Vibram Flextron sole tread. As a result, they reliably provide excellent grip, support your feet up to the ankles and guarantee a pleasant mixture of cushioning and stability.
The GORE-TEX Footwear lining makes these lightweight walking boots both waterproof and breathable. In addition, the PFC-free DWR treatment forces water droplets and dirt particles to simply roll off its surface. All in all, these Mammut boots are perfect to wear in any weather, as well as on a wide variety of surfaces.
The highlights at a glance:
- Lightweight walking boots with a waterproof GORE-TEX membrane
- With Flextron Technology and a Vibram outsole

These boots are really good quality, built and feels is solid.
However, for me, they create a serious pain across the ball of your feet. I've been to the store and confirmed size is correct. I'm a long time hiker and long distance walker, and have never experienced this pain with any other boots. I read on a hiking site that "the flex point is too far back" in the soles - maybe that is the cause.
Really liked the look and feel of these boots, and have put in over 100 miles to try and "break them in", but with the same painful result each time.
Your experience may vary.

Personally, I love all Mammut shoes, but these did not fit me very well, walking in them is very strange and folds high at the calf which causes pain in my leg... Tried and returned due to not fitting...
