The Barryvox S Package from Mammut is a complete avalanche transceiver set aimed at tourers, freeriders and off-piste skiers who want great equipment. Consisting of the avalanche transceiver Barryvox S, the avalanche Probe 240 and the avalanche Alugator Ride shovel, the complete avalanche transceiver set offers optimal support in case of an avalanche.


The Barryvox S avalanche transceiver is the core of the Barryvox S Package from Mammut. The device has numerous special functions that provide optimum assistance when searching for buried subjects. Plus, the SafeLock function prevents the device from inadvertently switching off or switching between search and transmit mode. Also, Smart Search is a function that not only shows the searcher the direction, distance and number of buried subjects, but also provides the search path directly on the illuminated display. In addition, acoustic signals, marker function and burial list support the search, while the reverse function prevents an accidental 180 degree search. And, both Auto Revert and Rescue Send are functions that automatically switch to transmit mode in the event of a secondary avalanche. Also practical is that group test and automatic self-test ensure the functionality of the Barryvox S. The additional communication channel W-Link provides better search performance and facilitates fleet management, while Auto Guidance guides the searcher to the buried subject in case of signal loss or interference. Alternatively, you can search in analogue mode, where the reception range is extended to 95 metres and the search strip width to 100 metres. And, you can even personalise the search settings. Lastly, the integrated 3D sensor provides information about the buried subject.


As for the Probe 240 included in the set, it’s a compact avalanche probe consisting of 6 aluminium segments in a telescopic system with an integrated tension cord. Plus, the one-sided scaling, drop-shaped tip for effortless probing and glove-compatible operation enable effective operations.


The Barryvox S Package is rounded off by the Alugator Ride avalanche shovel. It comes equipped with the scoop function for shovelling snow and cut function for cutting snow. Lastly, the reinforced shovel blade and the fixing holes for building a snow anchor complete the glove-compatible equipment.
