Product description
The Barryvox Package from Mammut is a reliable basic set that you should include to your equipment if you love touring, freeriding or snowboarding. Here’s what’s included: an avalanche transceiver, a lightweight avalanche Probe 240 and the versatile avalanche Alugator Ride shovel.
But, the Barryvox avalanche transceiver is considered the core of the set. It boasts numerous functions that facilitate and ensure that a burial search is safely carried out. Plus, the SafeLock prevents that you accidently switch it off or switch it from transmit to search. Also, its illuminated display will show you the direction and distance of the signal and the number of buried individuals. In addition, both an acoustic search aid and the marking function of up to three buried subjects will also help you in your search. And, the additional communication channel W-Link will also enhance search performance and enable fleet management. Group test, self-test, Auto Revert for switching to transmission mode in the event of a secondary avalanche and the reversal function to avoid 180-degree searches round off the features.
As for the Alugator Ride avalanche shovel, it is versatile thanks to its scoop function for shovelling and the cut function for cutting off snow. Also, numerous details such as the ergonomically shaped handle, stabilising ribs on the shovel blade and the fixing holes for building a snow anchor make the Alugator Ride a valuable companion in the snow.
In terms of the Probe 240 avalanche probe, it successfully rounds off the Barryvox package from Mammut with one-sided scaling, glove-compatible operation, durable aluminium and an emergency plan in the probe casing.
