Product description
The 6.0 Glacier Cord Dry is a static rope from Mammut that was built to meet skiers’ and mountain rescuers’ special needs: Crevasse rescue, abseiling and haul manoeuvres can therefore be carried out perfectly. The hyperstatic rope features a less than 2% stretch, which increases the efficiency during rescue manoeuvres and prevents a bungee effect whilst rappelling. Important to note: The static rope is perfect for rescuing, glacier trekking and abseiling, however it is not suitable as a lead, so a dynamic rope must be used in this case.
In addition, the Dry treatment provides maximum safety, even in the most adverse conditions. And, the rope neither absorbs water nor freezes. Plus, it boasts an extra grippy aramid sheath for not only ensured friction whilst abseiling with the 6-mm thick rope but also low abrasion and helps with braking during a crevasse fall. Also, it meets the minimum breaking strength requirement of the TIBLOC and MICRO TRAXION.
In addition, the ultra-light 6.0 Glacier Cord Dry weighs only 25 grams per metre, has a minimal packing volume and comes with a stuff sack for abseiling manoeuvres.
