Product description
Thanks to the GORE-TEX Surround construction, the Stream GTX walking boot from La Sportiva will release any excess heat through the side vents. That way, your feet will be dry and comfortable inside this waterproof boot, even on more physically demanding walks through the mountains. The cushiony EVA midsole and grippy Vibram XS Trek outsole provide both excellent grip and stability on various surfaces. The mid-high collar serves to protect the ankle and provide extra joint support. The Nano Cell 2.0 structure is light and provides maximum breathability, resulting in an ultra-light, fast and stable shoe for the mountains.

Hiking
I have these shoes for the last 2 years, using them mostly to hike my local mountains in northern Croatia and Slovenia and some super-sharp-rocky mountains and hills on Dalmatian coast (those sharp rocks do destroy everything quickly so I would recommend proper mountaineering shoes for Dalmatia, but these got me by, and they did not get destroyed in 50 or so km that I walked around). After 2 years of using them I took them to Iceland and they worked there flawlessly! We hiked every day and there were sometimes 5 rain showers a day. They did remain comfortable and dry all that time. They are not warm though so for snow I always wear warm winter socks. After the Iceland adventure I decided to order a second pair, because it seems that they are more durable than they look like.
