Product description
The classic with an update
The old master gets a fresh coat of paint! Whether overhanging sport climbing routes or bouldering competitions - with the Python from La Sportiva, advanced climbers get their money's worth.
Perfect stability, superb grip
These close-fitting unisex slip-on shoes feature a single hook-and-loop fastener to firmly hold on to your feet. The Python are extremely sensitive climbing shoes that offer you direct feedback concerning footholds. Plus, the pronounced heel rubber makes them perfect for hooks and therefore especially useful for overhanging routes. The instep is edged with a high-traction rubber to provide you with excellent friction on the wall - very handy, when the problem requires athletic head-over-heels moves or there seems to be no solution other than a toe-hook.
Optimum power transfer
In addition, the strong pre-tensioning and moderate downturn transfer your power specifically to the smallest of footholds, with the Vibram sole literally sticking to the wall. Since hooking places greater tensile stresses on the edges of the soles, La Sportiva has reinforced them using a special adhesive. With the Python, impossible bouldering problems become challenging problems - the rest is up to you!
The advantages at a glance:
- Fitted unisex climbing slip-ons with hook-and-loop fasteners
- Perfect for toe and heel hooks and the smallest footholds
- Reinforced sole edges
- Strong pre-tensioning
- Medium downturn

19.01.2024Nice aggressive fit, great heel.
I can't stress enough how good the heel is on these. Head height heel hooks on marginal holds are 50% easier in these. Great grip, nice aggressive toe box fit, without being excessive (need a rest every half hour or so), toe rubber sits just nicely. Very little dead space in the shoe, but the velcro isn't very long, so if you have a shallower foot, you might have to strap it as tight as it goes.

These shoes a very thin and although people claim them to be good for bouldering, they really aren’t!
Unless you’re using big footholds, these will hurt your feet pretty quickly as it feels like you’re climbing in socks...
