Product description
Road or trail? The Challenger 8 can do both.
Do you want to decide spontaneously where you run - and need a pair of shoes that can keep up? The Challenger 8 from HOKA are built for exactly that. Whether tarmac, gravel or forest floor, their improved cushioning and revised lug tread ensure comfort and grip on any surface.
Strong functionality. Optimal fit.
These running shoes feature a compression-moulded EVA midsole that absorbs hard impacts and supports your stride - even over long distances. Thanks to their new insole shape, the shoes now sit even better in the forefoot and instep area. Plus, the multi-directional 4 mm lugs give you the confidence to tread safely even on loose surfaces.
In addition, the breathable mesh upper made from 100% recycled polyester saves weight and lets your feet breathe. A 3D-printed toe cap provides reliable protection from roots and stones, while reflective details increase your visibility. Last but not least, the soft entry ensures that you'll want to slip them on at any time.
Whether gravel or tarmac - these shoes will take you anywhere.

Have used Stinsons and Challengers for several years. Build quality of Stinsons has fallen off recently ( in my opinion and experience) so I'm sticking to Challengers at the moment. Have bought the wide fitting version, which isn't widely available and for my feet these are much better. Good comfort, lightweight, good for road, better for trail and I find there is sufficient feel of the ground for fell running. Recent Challengers seem to have built up the support a bit, which helps my ageing feet keep on running. Very happy with them

I used these trail runners on the Camino Francaise for 10 days and they were very comfortable. The lightweight construction was good for maintaining energy levels. They were easy to clean with a damp cloth at the end of the day.
