Reviews overview
This is what other customers say:
I have bought Soulo BL. So basically the same tent as this one but a lightly stronger and heavier version.
The minute I have received SMS alert from government about upcoming storm, I went outside to pitch the tent. A test is a must before taking it into mountains.
Wind was so strong that it broke many trees in half around me, it was hard to stand and pitch the tent. But the tent didn't even care. Wind, rain and icefall was nothing to this tent. I have never seen such a strong product except for everest basecamp tents.
Now the good things: extremely easy to pitch, it takes maybe 2 minutes and the tent is done. So it's really fast. It's freestanding so it can be easily pitched on rocks or any kind of terrain.
Bad things: it's heavy, bulky, even rolled up it takes a lot of space. like insane amount of space. If you stuff it inside your backpack it's going to take around 2/3 of 100L backpack.
if you use this tent in mild climate - rain, fog, no wind, in the forest. it will not have enough ventilation and condensation is going to be too extreme. just from condensation alone, next morning tent is going to weigh 3.5kg with all the water. doesn't matter how hard you try to shake out the water. so it's going to be heavy.
Conclusion: I would give it 5 starts because it is designed for extreme environments and it performs absolutely perfect in those environments.
Don't take this tent to mild, warm climate. you're going to have trouble with condensation and you are not going to enjoy it. This is a dedicated expedition/storm tent.
