Product description
Waterproof trekking boots with a crampon mount
The Makra Pro GTX from Hanwag are category B/C mountaineering boots. They are suitable for tough mountaineering tours with glacier passages and easy high-alpine tours and rock routes in summer. Thanks to the stable construction with the extremely durable Perwanger leather upper, all-round rock guard and two-zone lacing with the mechanical lace lock, the walking boots can join you on tough terrain. They feature a welt at the heels to attach crampons. Plus, they’re equipped with a waterproof GORE-TEX membrane to protect your feet against moisture.
Sturdy yet lightweight sole construction
The sole is extremely stable and torsion-resistant, yet is also lightweight. It provides a good balance of stability and lightness. The Vibram Makra outsole offers excellent traction on difficult terrain, while the PU, TPU and EVA midsole will cushion your every step. There is a different amount of cushioning at various areas of the foot. In other words, the front section offers more precision, and the heel area is more comfortable. The boots are great for technical tours with heavier luggage. They’re completed by an Alpine Wide last that’s wider at the forefoot, so they will feel comfortable even on long adventures.
