The path to the rock is the goal of the Ferrata Light Low by Hanwag. These technical approach shoes are perfect for traversing stony and exposed paths to the climbing route. But via ferrata is definitely also part of the core competence of these shoes. The use of numerous technologies makes these shoes robust and lightweight at the same time. The upper material has been woven from a single piece of yarn, meaning that there are no seams. The raised rubber rand also protects the shoes very well from external influences caused by rocks and boulders. But the outsole is also exceptional. It provides good cushioning and at the same time offers high stability. In addition, it significantly improves stability due to the comparatively low standing height.

Hi David, No , these will only be water repellent to a degree. They will be much more breathable though than the waterproof GTX alternative.
