Even on long treks, comfort is assured. The stable shaft gives you secure footing, so your ankles are well protected against rolling. The rubberized cap protects the outer material from wear, making it perfect for use on rocky crags. The boot is perfectly suited to trekking in cold temperatures, but can also be used for snowshoeing. The strong sole and the snowshoe support mean that your heels are well protected. Hanwag uses the Icegrip Original sole on these boots, to give you secure grip on icy paths. The chunky tread together with the IceGrip sole gives you a reliable grip in winter. This is what other customers say:
I bought these to climb Kilimanjaro, where they didn't miss a beat.
I can't add much to that, except to say they are very substantial, so for prolonged road use they are slightly too heavy.
