Product description
Handcrafted in Europe, Hanwag premium trekking boots are made with high-quality materials for long-lasting use. The Hanwag Men's Alaska GTX Backpacking Boot features a waterproof GORE-TEX membrane to shed water from passing showers and stream crossings. A waxed nubuck upper and a full rubber rand provide durability against rocks, stumps, and heavy brush. In addition, the rugged Vibram Fourà sole offers reliable grip when you're walking long distances over craggy trails. This backpacking boot is compatible with strap-on crampons, facilitating general mountaineering and easy travel over snow and glaciers (not suitable for steep ice and harder climbs). Heel shock absorption soaks up vibration for enhanced comfort. An internal harness lock down your heel for full ankle support and blister prevention, and Air Pulse circulation vents this boot through a pumping action at the tongue.

i purchased these boots 13 years ago in germany and live in Scotland and they have had a real thrashing and still water proof, still warm due to goretex and still not a rip tare or ding in sight. I HIGHLY recommend this purchase i am going to buy another pair even though i do not need them just because they are soooo robust.
