The preformed cork footbed makes them a pleasure to wear, and the rubber sole ensures a secure grip when walking! The footbed can be removed when required to make room for orthopedic inlays. Bought these as I wanted arch support for when I stand at PC all day, they are great but can be too warm on a hot day.
I've been using these for about 3 weeks now. They are really comfortable and warm. I bought these for travelling. The plan was for a light but solid slipper I could bring with me when I travelled. They are solid (heavier than I expected)...and so are not really suitable for travelling with...but they seem much better made than any felt wool slippers I have seen before. The insole is contoured rather like a Birkenstock sandal. They feel,lovely in bare feet....with wool socks on you may find them a tad warm. The sole allows you to walk outside...but unlikely you would use them to walk around with.
They are not delicate....and are very chunky...very clog like...but I the thickness of the wool suggests they will be hard wearing.
