Product description
The approach shoes Dragontail Tech GTX by Garmont are a robust companion for approaches in alpine terrain.
The outer material made of leather makes them completely robust and durable. Die GORE-TEX membrane provides waterproofing and good breathability. A pleasant climate in the shoe is guaranteed. Reinforcements and additional padding at the toes and heels increase protection in scree. The combination of FrameFlex and an EVA midsole provides optimal cushioning whilst walking and high stability on challenging stretches in alpine terrain. The climbing zone on the toes improves traction in rocky terrain. The outsole is both lightweight and flexible and provides reliable traction with multidirectional studs. The lacing goes all the way to the toes, which has a positive influence on overall stability. With the Dragontail Tech GTX, the alpinist has a reliable partner for their adventures!

Continues to prove waterproof despite many miles and more than 2 years of use. The more traditional materials, though heavier than plastic, are probably responsible for this. Mostly used for approaches through damp moorland.
