Amazing shoe
These have taken everything I've thrown at them in their stride, from climbing around Different to scrambling in the Cuillins and drinking and dancing! Well worth it and they come in Cobalt blue too!

Disappointed - not hard wearing
I have a pair of Garmont Pinnacle GTX boots that are truly excellent. This was a factor in buying the dragontails.
However first time I wore them in rocky terrain they both got damaged and now need to be replaced. Fit and stability is good but uppers too fragile.

This is what other customers say:
Bought for lightweight use and developed ankle and knee problems . Put this down to old age(me not the shoe) and attended my physio for a going over . I've been seeing same guy for a number of years and he asked what was different as this was the first injury related reason for attending..subsequently asked me to bring the shoes next session .
Next time around he examined shoes.
After placing them on a table it was clear the sole and upper were badly out of line and caused the ankles to camber inwards..stopped wearing and the problem resolved itself
Dont know if these are a dud pair or this is Garmont "tech" would check them on table top straight out of the box guys beware.

A very comfortable, supportive shoe, ideal for less ambitious hikes and not too technical looking to wear around town. Robust and fairly water resistant - although not entirely waterproof.

However I didn't buy them. I take a 7 and usually buy Salomon 7 1/2 cos they are wife fitting. Tried a size 8 in these but they were way too narrow.

This shoe was 80% fantastic but the only down side was after about a year the sole started to peel. I walked in them nearly every day and there generally amazing and continued to be for nearly three years once I'd glued the sole properly.
