Hello, the Garmont 9.81 shoes are very well designed, the sole has very good traction on wet rocks, grass, and they are very comfortable when climbing. The only problem that happened to me was the permeability of the Gore-Tex membrane. I took them out of the box for a three-day route in the mountains and on the 1st day the toes of my right foot got wet, walking on wet grass (I will note that I was wearing long pants - i.e. water from above cannot enter), after a few hours water leaked into the toe area and the left foot. At the end of the day the right one was wetter than the left one, as the foot and toes were visibly not wet, and the sock was dry on top. The left one was wet only in the toe area and the cushion. After spending the night in the hut and managing to dry my shoes, the next day I put them on with dry socks and not long after walking they leaked again and my feet were wet. This is the main reason for returning the shoes.
I could have kept them for drier weather, but I already have a MILLET and a La Sportiva that also get my socks wet....
