Product description
Lightweight walking trousers in a breathable fabric
The long Fjällräven Vidda Pro Lite Trousers are made from G-1000 Air Stretch technical material. Recycled synthetic fibre and soft cotton from organic producers ensure a high level of comfort on every mountain expedition. The outer material is treated with environmentally friendly Greenland wax, meaning the versatile hiking trousers do not absorb moisture. The large leg pockets with snap buttons can be conveniently accessed when hiking.
Ideal for trekking and hut touring
The leg cuffs on the mountaineering trousers adjust to your walking boots with a drawstring, ensuring that your feet remain comfortably dry in all weather conditions. The articulated knee does not restrict and provides plenty of freedom of movement. Your multitool can be stored in the practical pocket on the side and will be quickly to hand when required. The Vidda Pro Lite Trousers from Fjällräven are equipped with insert openings for knee pads.

20.08.2025Buying another pair
I bought the Vida Pro trousers last year, but I can't wear them in the summer because they are too warm. So I bought a pair of the Lites in green to wear in the summer. I like them so much, I'm going to buy another pair in grey. I've got rid of all my jeans; I'll only wear these from now on. The fit is amazing, very comfortable, and looks great.

04.04.2024Disappointing
Well featured trousers, cargo pockets, boot hooks, ankle adjustment cool on warm days.
However: waist is cut too low to be comfortable on treks when carrying a pack. Material is described as ‘lite’ I would say flimsy is more accurate. I walk a lot in the Scottish Highlands and they lasted only 6 months before they were all torn round the lower legs. I expected more from trousers in this price bracket.

There is no pro lite just for women.
Hi Franky,
These are very much a men's trouser. The following could be an alternative for women:

I have two pairs of regular Vidda Pro trousers since 2019 and they still look like new, these are the usual Vidda pro style, quality and robustness for mild weather or mountain summer, made with a G1000 version that looks like ripstop. Same accessories, same pockets, same fit. Waist is somewhat low, like the regular Vidda Pro.

Overall these are excellent lightweight trekking trousers.
I think I am between sizes (34", 86.4 cm, jeans are too tight but 36", 91.4 cm, are a bit loose). I purchased EU size 52 (approx 36") which are comfortably loose. I think a smaller size (50) would be too tight. I have the Fjallraven Abisko Midsummer belt which is elasticated and really does a superb job of making the trousers a comfortable fit. In addition I am 1.96 m (6' 5 ") tall and the new length Fjallraven long leg (86 cm, 34") is perfect. The elasticated phone pocket is great! I've worn the trousers several times including a short 12 km hike and they are super comfortable and functional. I start my long trek (about 400 km) in September so that will be the big test.
