Product description
Thick sleeping mat with 700 cuin down
With its Downmat Technology, the Dura 6R sleeping mat from Exped is suitable for temperatures down to -25°C. The tough outer fabric, made from 75D and 170D polyester, is equipped with a fill consisting of RDS-certified down with 700 cuin fill power.
Rectangular sleeping mat for expeditions
The 7 cm thick Dura 6R sleeping mat can be quickly inflated and deflated again, thanks to the use of its so-called ‘Flatvalve’ valve and an extra Schnozzel Pumpbag. With its sturdy material made from recycled raw materials and high insulation power, the Exped mat is perfect for demanding alpine tours, trekking and expeditions to polar regions.
At the same time, the mat can be rolled up for transport to just 31 x 15 cm in size M and weighs just 850 g. While sleeping, the longitudinally-oriented air chambers ensure high sleeping comfort and prevent you from slipping off the mat.
The highlights at a glance:
- Sleeping mat with a thickness of 7 cm and a 5.8 R-value
- Suitable for temperatures down to -25°C
- Includes Flatvalve and Schnozzel Pumpbag
- Rectangular cut

This is what other customers say:
A top piece of kit . It's well made comfortable and warm..
I got the mw for the extra width.
The bag inflates it in about 5 bags so no huffing and puffing.
Exped my new favourite brand.

I have a suspicion that some cheaper down-filled mats are not using as much as they might best be.
(Moreover probably it is sourced from unreasonable farming practices. Can you enlighten me please ?)
Thank you . Susan Jevons
Hi Susan,
Exped do not state any fill weight ,which is not unusual for sleep mats. Only the total weight is provided. With an R-value of 5.8 and a temperature guide of up to -25 °C you can be sure the fill amount must be sufficient.
700 cuin down
RDS certified
Exped also state the following;
"We guarantee that our down comes from ducks or geese raised in an animal-friendly environment. They are given access to pasture, a constant supply of water, feed and shelter. In addition, they are not force-fed for liver production and live plucking. Our down is sourced in eastern Europe. Our German supplier is a traditional, well-established company with a 120-year history in the industry and is independently certified. "
