Product description
The Riot from Edelrid is the perfect ice tool for ice climbing and alpine ice tours. Its greatest advantages is its flexibility, which is due to the modular expandability. Depending on the intended use and personal preferences, the Riot can be modified as desired. Hand straps, a hand rest above the grip, other picks, a grip sticker and an accelerator can be purchased additionally and installed on the Riot.
The unit itself consists of an aluminium shaft with a medium curve. This gives the Riot precise anchorage and plenty of power at the tip. The pick itself is made of hardened steel and can be replaced with other types if necessary.
A hammer and adze version of the Riot is available. You can buy and use a dummy if you don't want to use either (for example, on short trips in pure water ice). This reduces the weight and the risk of injury. All in all, this is an all-round ice tool that can be supplemented as required depending on the intended use.
